Neil Islands

Vegetable bowl of Andaman is NEIL ISLAND, as it is the home place for cultivation of local vegetables which are supplied to other Islands. These Beaches are popular for shady trees. People are mostly busy in agricultural or tourism activities over here. Single Jetty in Bharatpur is the only place for entry and exits to Neil Islands. One of the chief attractions of Andaman and Nicobars is The Natural Bridge which is located in Neil Islands. It is known as Howrah Bridge. It offers a pleasant environment for tourism.

The best place for coral watching and swimming is Bharatpur Beach which is one of the most popular beach of Andaman and Nicobar Islands in India. The beach is full of green vegetables and fishes. Glass bottom beaches are also available for coral watching under water. Evening time can be enjoyed by relaxing on sea shore and lying under blue sky.  During low tide ride under rock formation in Neil Island, it gives a wonderful view of rocks spread across the bridge. The area of rock formation is hardly at a distance of around 15-20 mins drive from another beach. There are daily boats available from Havelock Island and Port Blair to Neil Island.

One of the amazing god’s gifts to mankind is the breath taking airy view of Andaman and Nicobar Island. The Andaman and Nicobar Islands, is one of the seven union territories of India and located in the Indian Ocean. These Islands are popularly known as the Emerald Isles. The Andaman and Nicobar lie in the Bay of Bengal, approximately 1,220 km southeast to the coast of West Bengal and 1,190 km east of Chennai. Port Blair is the capital of Andaman’s Islands, which is the largest city of the place.  The first presence of these Islands was found in 9th Century by Arab merchants.  The first Western visitor was Marco Polo, who called it `the land of the head - hunters'.  Two groups of islands, the Andaman and the Nicobar islands lie towards the Southeastern part of the Indian mainland.

People use to speak language known as Nicobarese and other languages like Hindi, Bengali, Telugu and English are being widely used here. The development over here is on an average only but the Luxurious Rain forests make them a GOLD MINE of Timber.
